The initiative is led by Timo Stegelmann, founder of Stegelmann Consulting, with over 15 years of leadership experience in international development and sustainability strategy.
We work hand-in-hand with regional partners, civil society organisations, and responsible companies to design impactful, practical solutions tailored to Southeast Europe.
Timo Stegelmann
Founder of Stegelmann Consulting & Initiator of the BEST International Group
Timo Stegelmann is a consultant with over 15 years of experience in international development, strategic project design, and sustainability advisory. As the founder of Stegelmann Consulting (Germany) and initiator of the BEST International Group, he is committed to bridging the gap between business responsibility and social innovation—particularly in Southeast Europe.
In his previous role as Director of Programmes and Finance at Help – Hilfe zur Selbsthilfe e.V., he oversaw a global project portfolio spanning more than 20 countries. Today, he supports companies in developing forward-looking CSR strategies aligned with EU sustainability frameworks, including the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and ESG standards.
His mission: to position CSR not as an obligation, but as an opportunity—for resilient business models, meaningful social partnerships, and inclusive regional development.

Mia (Anima Mundi) Medaković-Topalović
Mia brings over 10 years of business experience in public relations and law, complemented by more than 15 years in multimedia and NGO engagement. As founder and host of Refresh Your Life and producer of various TV, radio, and community projects—including HIV/AIDS initiatives—she has built deep expertise in communication, stakeholder management, and social impact.
Her extensive network spans both the business world and civil society, and she is known for her energetic, structured, and people-focused leadership. With strong legal insight (Serbia, Italy, and beyond) and a multicultural mindset, Mia excels at navigating complex environments, aligning diverse interests, and keeping teams motivated and mission-focused.
